Diamond Aircraft and Premier Aircraft sales celebrate FAA certification and the first U.S. customer delivery of the revolutionary Diamond DA50 RG at OSHKOSH, Airventure 2023
PRESS RELEASE
Oshkosh, Wisconsin (July 25, 2023) – Diamond Aircraft Industries (AirVenture Exhibit #9), and its oldest and largest U.S. dealer, Premier Aircraft Sales, celebrate today’s Diamond DA50 RG delivery to the first U.S. customer, Mr. Jordan Cram.
“This is truly an amazing day. We are here to not only celebrate the Diamond DA50 RG receiving FAA certification but also the delivery to Mr. Cram,” Kevin Sheng, CEO of Diamond Aircraft Canada, said. “We are truly fortunate to share this with all our friends here at Oshkosh, AirVenture 2023.”
“As you all know, the all-new DA50 RG is one of the most anticipated and sought-after aircraft that Diamond has ever introduced, and we are so proud that Mr. Cram has joined the Diamond family,” he continued. “We know he will love the performance, comfort, economy, and safety that his new DA50 RG will provide.”
“The DA50 RG is a perfect match for my sustainability, performance, and design requirements,” Cram said. “The excellent fuel economy combined with jet fuel made me feel better about carbon impact, and the balance of function and form is just unparalleled. We’re going to be up in the air a lot.”
Mr. Cram’s Diamond DA50 RG arrived at Oshkosh AirVenture 2023 after being flown from the company’s factory in Austria by Diamond’s Austrian pilot Thomas Wimmer.
“Premier has been an authorized Diamond Aircraft dealer since 2002, and we are extremely proud that today’s delivery of the new DA50 RG marks the third time that one of our customers has been the first U.S. owner of one of Diamond’s industry-leading jet fuel, diesel aircraft,” stated Travis Peffer, CEO of Premier Aircraft Sales. “We delivered the first twin-diesel-powered Diamond DA42 in 2005 and the first twin-engine, large cabin DA62 in 2016, so being at the forefront of Diamond’s newest and greatest aircraft has become a hallmark of Premier Aircraft Sales.”
“With today’s delivery of the first U.S. registered Jet-A fueled, turbodiesel-powered DA50 RG, Diamond Aircraft continues to build on its unrivaled leadership in sustainable aviation,” Mr. Sheng added. “Mr. Cram will not only be able to enjoy the DA50 RG’s spacious cabin and exceptional performance, but more importantly, he can also feel good knowing that his flights will have the smallest environmental impact.”
The DA50 RG is powered by the six-cylinder 300-hp Continental Aerospace Technologies CD-300 geared, liquid-cooled, turbo-charged, Jet-A1-fueled engine, which is controlled by two redundant Full-Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) units.
The extra benefits of operating a jet-A fuel-powered aircraft are low emissions, low fuel consumption, and global fuel availability.
