Jet Aviation has joined the Paragon Aviation Group network—a group of independent FBOs designed to provide customers with additional benefits through group networking efforts. The addition of Jet Aviation's 6 US facilities to the network brings the total number of FBOs in North America to 23.
EPIC Aviation has partnered with NATA Safety 1st to provide training to its FBOs. All EPIC and UVair FBO network locations will receive comprehensive training in a self-paced and self-directed online platform through NATA Safety 1st. Through the training, network FBOs will have access to a full range of training products, including the professional line service training and supervisor online training programs. The supervisor online training program is approved by FAA to meet the requirements of 14 CFR Part 139.321.
The Hangar Network has launched a new "map-centric" website featuring aviation real estate for sale and lease. The site allows customers to list, search and facilitate airport-related real estate transactions, including hangar space, office space, subleasing land or leasing commercial office space. It also allows users to list aviation properties such as airparks, tiedowns, retail, warehouses, etc.
Signature is to build a new facility at SJC (San Jose CA). The $82-million development is being undertaken in partnership with Blue City Holdings, which represents the personal aircraft of the principals at Google. Construction of the FBO facility, on 29 acres on the west side of the airport, is scheduled to begin this fall.
World Fuel Services has added Timothy Vallowe to the board of its Air Elite Network board. The board comprises members from a global network of FBOs and plays a key role in developing service standards and strategies for the company. Vallowe is the FBO services mgr for Swift Aviation Services at PHX (Sky Harbor, Phoenix AZ) and has 17 years' experience as an aviation professional.
Ben Murray has joined Landmark Aviation as president of its aircraft management and charter division. Murray has over 15 years of industry experience, including sales, maintenance, management, fractional and charter aircraft industries. His previous roles include president of XOJet, president and COO of NetJets, and president and CEO of Executive Jet Management. In addition to his new role, Murray will be involved in creating a cohesive offering of the company's FBO, MRO and aircraft management and charter services.
