AgustaWestland has announced an order for 2 AW169s from Japan-based ITC-Aerospace. The contract, signed in October, marks the official entrance of the AW169 into the Japanese market. ITC-Aerospace has been operating AW109s since 1995 and will take delivery of its newest addition after certification, expected in 2014. In a separate announcement, AgustaWestland revealed in September that it would be providing comprehensive support to the South African Air Force for its fleet of AW109LUHs.

FAA has approved the type certificate for the Sikorsky S76D. Approval came on Oct 12 following an intensive flight test program. Deliveries are expected to being later this year.

Bond Aviation Group has taken delivery of 2 S92s—the first of 16 of the type on order by the company. Coatesville PA-based Bond Aviation has more than 350 helicopters in its fleet and is part of the World Helicopter Group—the largest global independent emergency and mission critical helicopter operator.

Becker Avionics has been selected by air medical and police units in Utah, Nebraska and North Carolina. The company says its DVCS­6100 digital audio system will be installed in 4 aircraft—a Bell 429, and EC135 and 2 Bell 407s. Charlotte–Mecklenburg Police Aviation recently selected Becker as part of an upgrade for its 2 Bell 407s. Separately, Rogers Helicopters/ Good Samaritan Hospital of Kearney NE and University of Utah AirMed chose the company's audio system for a Bell 429 and EC135, respectively. Both will be completed at United Rotorcraft (a division of Air Methods) in Denver CO.

Pima County Sheriff's Dept introduced its new AS350 B3e helicopter to the public during an event at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson AZ in September. The ship, delivered in May, is the department's first Eurocopter machine and will be used for border crime enforcement, tactical team insertion and SAR missions.

Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) has completed the installation of night vision systems on 3 AS350 B3s for the Botswana Police Service. As part of the installation, ASU is also providing Eurocopter Southern Africa training for their technicians to support the systems.

AgustaWestland has signed a partnership agreement with 2 companies in South Korea to provide integrated logistics support and training services for the military. Firstec and Dodaam Systems were selected by AgustaWestland to supply maintenance and repair services, spare parts inventory management for military helicopters and a series of dedicated training solutions.
