Construction has begun on the Henriksen Jet Center FBO at TME (Exec, Houston TX). TME is one of 2 privately funded airports founded by Houston businessman Ron Henriksen in the past 5 years. The 22,500 sq ft terminal building is expected to be completed by Feb 2013 and will include an arrival canopy.

ExecuJet Aviation Group and PT Dimitri Utama Abadi have announced a joint venture to manage general aviation terminals at up to 13 airports across Indonesia. The announcement follows a memorandum of cooperation signed between ExecuJet and Angkasa Pura in May, in which Angkasa Pura would design, construct and manage the terminals.

Signature has introduced a flight training benefit for employees wanting to learn how to fly. The company's president, Michael Scheeringa, cites the need for employees to understand the needs and wants of their most important customer segment—pilots. He believes the best way for staff members to achieve this is by arriving at an FBO in the cockpit of an airplane. Several employees have already taken advantage of the new program, including Scheeringa himself, as well as VP Marketing Patrick Sniffen and HOU General Mgr George Davis.

Associated Aircraft Group has been granted access to DCA by TSA. Under the DCA Access Security Program (DASSP), the company can fly passengers to DCA from a gateway airport after going through advance security screening. A law enforcement officer must be on board the flight. Associated Air Group says the approval will allow it to offer better service to customers by providing helicopter transportation to the nation's capital without making the drive from outlying airports.
